Project Description The Owners of a Single Family Residence in the Ravenswood Manor area desired a modern renovation to their home. The feature work was the Master Bedroom Suite. The Master Bedroom Suite encompasses the entire third floor and is composed of a bedroom, bathroom and walk-in closet. These three functions are intertwined where the light of the closet becomes a light fixture for the bathroom; the bathroom is set apart from the bedroom by a layering of walls and glass. Light from the bathroom leaks into the bedroom through a double-sided medicine cabinet. The steam shower and whirlpool were set under a large skylight to evoke the feeling of being outside. Selected materials are Siena Brown marble, polished, hoved, and tumbled Botticino stone and custom cherry Cabinetry, which is treated as furniture. Paint is used to accentuate the layered walls.
