This Chicago project is a renovation of an apartment which overlooks Lincoln Park.
Two existing 1100sf spaces were combined together, all existing partitions were removed leaving only the required core elements in place.
Conceived as being wrapped by a tree line, the floating spaces on the interior, sit within the heart of a forest. The heart of the home is occupied by the kitchen, which blends into other public and private spaces. The masterbath works as a bridge between these public and private areas. In an open position the masterbath is an extension of the public space.
Major materials used throughout the space are - waxed concrete floors, quartz based resin countertops, Leicht cabinets, bio-ethanol fireplace
